7 days, 90 miles, 44 pubs
11th - 17th May 2019
I wrote the guidebooks to this walk 20 years ago, and now guide one of the five 'Inn Way' routes each year.
This year I guided 9 people along The Inn Way to the Lake District, and had wonderful hot, sunny weather all week. I camped along the route, which was a joy in such lovely weather.
There were loads of highlights along the way... Greenup Gill, High Spy and Cat Bells, Coledale Cause, Kirkstile Inn, Crummock Water, Black Sail Hut, Wasdale Head, Eskdale and Harter Fell, Broughton-in-Furness (cheapest beer in the Lake District!), Beacon Tarn, Elterwater and Loughrigg Fell.
DAY ONE - Ambleside to Rosthwaite
DAY TWO - Rosthwaite to Braithwaite
DAY THREE - Braithwaite to Buttermere
DAY FOUR - Buttermere to Boot
DAY FIVE - Boot to Broughton-in-Furness
DAY SIX - Broughton-in-Furness to Coniston
DAY SEVEN - Coniston to Ambleside
