Howgill Fells - map and navigation skills

NNAS Silver award
Navigation skills weekend in the Howgill Fells.

The Howgill Fells are a superb range of hills that are perfect for walking. We also included 2-hours of night navigation at the end of the walk (poor visibility) to help focus the skills learnt over the day.

Based the course from the Black Swan at Ravenstonedale - great pub.

If you are looking to improve your map, compass, navigation and hill skills then we offer the complete skills courses for walkers! http://www.teamwalking.co.uk/navigation-skills-courses.html

1-day Navigation Skills - Malham

1-day Navigation Skills course
Malham, Yorkshire Dales

Mark Reid held a 1-day Navigation Skills course at Malham yesterday. It was a very wet and exciting day with the streams and rivers in spate, several bridges and paths impassable and the waterfalls in spectacular full force. Our route took in Janet's Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove.
