Wharfedale Three Peaks
21 mile challenge walk
24 June 2019
This is a 21-mile route taking in Birks Fell (610m), Buckden Pike (702m) and Great Whernside (704m), which are three of the high fells that encircle Upper Wharfedale.
This is a challenging route as it is pathless for long stretches, with LOADS of peat hags and deep bogs to negotiate. Physically more demanding than the Yorkshire Three Peaks simply because of the terrain.
Most importantly, we had brilliant views, particularly towards the end of the day when the mist lifted. Well done to all those who took part - everyone completed the route in 12 hours.
