Winter Backpacking Weekend

Winter Backpacking Weekend
Coniston to Great Langdale, Lake District
January 2017

A weekend of great walks, wonderful pubs and good conversations!

On Saturday, we walked from Coniston to the Great Langdale campsite via Coppermines Valley, Hole Rake, Tilberthwaite, Little Langdale and Blea Tarn, in beautiful cold and sunny weather.

On Sunday, it was milder and damp and so we followed a low-level route back to Coniston via Slater's Bridge, Cathedral Cavern and Hodge Close.

Swarth Fell (681m)

Swarth Fell (681m)

Yorkshire Dales 600s

This is my 29th (out of 42) 'Yorkshire Dales 600s' fells that I've climbed, with just 13 left to do. I've actually climbed 6 out of the remaining 13 fells, but didn't take any photos as they were a long time ago. Hope to get those 13 ticked off during 2017.
