Mountain Navigation Skills weekend course
Great Langdale, Lake District
1st & 2nd June 2013
7 people enjoyed a weekend of navigation skills training in the Lake District. We were blessed with sunny weather, clear skies and great visibility, which is not so good for navigation training though (much better to have thick mist!).
Headed up Pike O Blisco on Saturday, then longer day up Bowfell on Sunday.
Great group and great weather in Great Langdale!
Next Mountain Navigation Skills course on 29th & 29th September based at Coniston in the Lakes - just 1 place left!

Borrowdale, Lake District
27th & 28th April 2013
A bright and sunny day on Saturday, and then a wet and very windy day on Sunday. We met at Rosthwaite in Borrowdale, and then walked down the valley to Grange then up to Hause Gate, then up along the ridge across Maiden Moor to High Spy and Dale Head. We then dropped back into the valley, via Castle Crag.

Night Hike
Pen-y-ghent
Saturday 20th April 2013
Beautiful, cold evening with clear skies and bright moon.
Guided by Mark Reid, 7 people took part and we reached the summit just as the sun was setting behind Ingleborough. We walked back along Horton Scar Lane without torches as the moonlight was bright enough to see where we were going.
