Winter Dales Escape
Winter Dales Escape walking weekend
Hawes, Wensleydale, Yorkshire Dales
2nd - 4th February 2018
3 days of wonderful walking in Upper Wensleydale, with a real mix of wintry weather. The beauty of walking in winter are the quiet paths, changing light on the land, roaring coal fires and snow-capped fells.
Friday's walk: Hawes, Gayle, Aysgill Force, Sleddale and Appersett Viaduct.
Saturday's walk: Hawes, Burtersett, Roman Road, Crag Hill, Countersett, Bainbridge and the old railway line back for most of the way to Hawes.
Sunday's walk: Hawes, Sedbusk, the old stone mines, Simonstone and Hardraw Force.
