Navigation Skills weekend - Reeth
National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) SILVER AWARD
www.teamwalking.co.uk
I ran a NNAS silver course this weekend based at Reeth in Swaledale. This included a day's navigation training on Saturday learning about moorland walking, compass skills and route simplification. We went up onto Grinton Moor and Hight Harker Hill. This was followed by a night navigation exercise on Saturday night on Grinton Moor, followed by a moorland walk assessment on Sunday on Calver Hill
The heather is blooming so it was a great time to be out on the moors above Swaledale.
